Another weekend of indoor track & field action is here, with both collegiate and non-collegiate Ghanaian athletes competing in various meets and competitions.
Joseph Paul Amoah competes at the American Track League in the sprints after last weekend’s record-breaking 200m run at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite in Boston.
Sean Safo-Antwi competes in the 60m at the PSD Bank Indoor Meet on February 12th. The meet will be held in Dortmund, Germany.
Abraham Seaneke also competes in the long jump at the Texas Tech Shootout on February 11th. Last weekend, Seaneke made an impressive 7.57m jump at the New Mexico Classic.
After a 60m showdown at the New Mexico Classics, Benjamin Azamati of West Texas A&M University heads to Lubbock, Texas to compete in the Sprints at the Texas Tech Shootout from February 11th to 12th.
Deborah Acquah of Texas A&M University competes in the jumps at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 12th.
Jacqueline Pokuaah competes in both sprints and jumps at the Doug Raymond Invitational in Kent, Ohio. Pokuaah made three PBs last week during the University of Akron Invitational.
On the local front, the National Circuit Games will set off on February 12th at the Tamale Sports Stadium, where seasonedtrack & field clubs and athletes will stage a good athletics campaign. All 16 regions are expected to participate in what is known to be a national sports festival.
